Forum for the Future wanted a secure intranet which allowed them to add content very quickly, and easily, about a wide range of topics. We built a highly responsive, flexible intranet, which is suitable to use from any platform or device.
In addition to the comprehensive search and tagging systems, which allow users to organise content using 12 different tags, and 3 overarching themes, a post popularity system means posts can be sorted by their rating. Because of these features, we were able to keep the base structure of the website fairly simple, whilst ensuring that the journeys to search, filter, and create content were all accessible and highly intuitive.
The reactive page structure means that the content will reorganise itself into a neat format for any screen resolution. This was crucial as many of the current users wanted the platform to be usable, and easy to use, from a mobile device.
Also included in the design were full user profiles, a bookmarking system, and a star system which would allow users to essentially "like" a post. This meant that we could build a filter based on the popularity of each post.
