Showcase → The Grasslands Trust

The Grasslands Trust is a charity set up to protect the native types of Grasslands available in the UK. I can guarantee that there are likely to be more than you know of!
Because of the nature of the charity, we had to design a website that would really allow them to showcase their projects, as well as something that could handle all of the images that we were throwing at it. It was additionally important to ensure that the theme of the website captured what Grasslands were trying to show off.
The homepage has a creative and dynamic panel which uses images and overlays to really draw the user into the interactive experience that is available throughout the website.
Project pages included quicktabs that allow users to gain access to a large variety of information about each site, whilst keeping the viewable area compact and user friendly. Again, emphasis was put on providing the Grasslands Trust with the right tools to improve awareness of their projects, and display the beauty that they have on show in their protected areas.
Social media has fast become a powerful tool for getting the word out there, so integrated social media, and disqus available for fast commenting, means that it's easy to tell your friends about.
