Motionsløb is the largest running site in Denmark with hundreds of users built up around a forum and a huge race calendar. The site has been run as a hobby by its creator, and extensions have been added along the way as the need or the ideas arose. The task for me was to unite as much as possible within Drupal, but without losing the existing content.
The result was a very versatile site based almost exclusively on Drupal and successfull migration of 100% of the existing content. Parts of the forum, however, were kept in vBulletin, whereas other elements were integrated into the new design. The race calendar, containing several thousand races in Denmark, was given some needed improvements, and it is still the function most asked for on the site. On top of that go blogs, articles, a webshop, race reviews, and much much more.
The new site, existing only in Danish, was launched in January 2010.
