Underground Free University, is part of the "Migrants Place" Social Centre, in Athens. Its purpose is the exchange of computer knowledge, from hardware to OS, from open source to internet. The students are mainly migrants, which also attend the Greek language courses of the Centre. Apart from the courses, there is a recycle-redistribution initiative: old pcs are collected and repaired, if possible, in order to be distributed again in similar places. There is no separative line between teachers and students; for example, one can teach hardware and attend the programming course... It’s Underground (because it’s in the basement of the Social Centre). It’s Free (free like freedom). It’s hardly a University (we call it so, just for fun!). It’s UFU!
