Ubuntu is a great operating system. Linux-based systems meet my needs in a way that others don't. More control and less "software bloating" is what I look for in an operating system. I have Ubuntu installed on my home PC as well as my laptop and find that it put much less of a load on my laptop battery, enabling me to keep it powered on for longer without being plugged in.
